My ruling for Anna
I agree with Judge DeSalvo's ruling. I believe Anna should have an overall say in what happens to her body. By giving Campbell Alexander partial responsibility for Anna's decisions, Anna was given an adviser to help guide her within the bigger choices she was forced to make. I understand that Sara is the mother of two children. To make sure that she gives equality to both children, it is best that she does not make Anna's decisions for her. Sara is biased due to the fact that it would be positive for one daughter, but negative for the other.

Designer Baby
I believe that genetically enhancing a baby is wrong. Although creating a new baby does save another child's life, parents aren't necessarily creating the child out of love for them. For example, Adam Nash was created to save the life of his sister, Molly. They took bone marrow from him and used it for Molly. Their reason for creating Adam was to save Molly from fatigue and blood disorders. Adam will now have to wonder for the rest of his life if he was made out of love, or just the for the love of his sister.

What would I do if somebody told me the holocaust never happened?
If someone told me the holocaust didn't occur, I would have to disagree with them. Many people who are in denial of the concentration camps believe that the gas chambers didn't exist. That can be proven false very simply. Take a trip to where auschwitz once stood. The crematories are still there. You are able to see that these death camps weren't just some story.
Another aspect that many holocaust distortion believers are guilty of is manipulating facts. To manipulate a fact, you gave to know the truth first. Obviously these believers know the truth, but they are too stubborn to admit they're wrong and deal with the fact that it did happen. If they don't learn from history, then they are doomed to repeat it.

The Holocaust
I think the holocaust is an event that didn't have to happen. If the Treaty of Versaille wasn't placed upon Germany, Hitler may have not rose to power. Since the Treaty was put on Germany, it caused them to go into an economic depression and gave Hitler an excuse for power. It proves that one person can influence the world immensely. Hitler was the one to come up with the concentration camps. He turned normal citizens into Nazis. Without him, many Jews would still be alive. Many lives were lost in the concentration camps. Some people may blame the countries who placed the Treaty on Germany, but I blame Hitler and his Nazis. Nobody else killed the innocent Jews besides them. I also think the citizens who watched it happen were in the wrong. Nobody took a stand for the innocent lives. If I was a citizen in Germany at that time, I don't know if I would say anything or not. Either way, it is wrong for a person to watch cruel actions take place. Bystanders are guilty, as are the oppressor.

My Anderson Varejao!
I remember when I was younger, my dad coached my basketball team. He taught me how to do a lay up. We were at Prairie College with my sister. He went up and shot a basket and made it. I thought that was so cool! Then, he showed me how and I made a basket too. This is when I thought my dad was an amazing basketball player. He was like my Anderson Varejao.

My Adventures with Scout
The story of Scout and he adventures reminds of the time where me and my friend had a silly string war with another neighbor. We would run all through the neighborhood and hide in order to stay "safe." Scout had many adventures throughout her neighborhood. I would be friends with Scout. She was a tomboy and it seemed fun. I would also be friends with Jem and Dill. They were very curious. I would've loved to spy on Boo Radley with them. We could've had many adventures. Such as, silly string wars, spying on neighbors, and building snowmen shaped like neighbors.

Instructions for living a life
1. Pay attention
2. Be astonished
3. Tell about it.
I think it means that pay attention to the small details in life. It's like a puzzle. If you put together all of the small pieces, you get the big picture. Then, once you see this outcome, you're in awe. It amazes you that you've reached that point. Finally, you tell people about it. When you're older, tell people about the experiences that got you to where you are. Give advice on what will make them successful. Help others to live a better life based on the information you can give them.
